Cakes Starts With Sea

I got a couple new cake tools this week, Wilton’s tip 104, 4″ cake tins and a fondant pearl cutter. Friday evening was playtime!

I have always loved the ruffle trend and was very excited to have a go. I think by the end of it I had a better understanding of how to make the ruffles look a bit more natural.

And, me being me, I have got to do something a lil bit special on the inside. So… surprise MnM’s it was! 😀

Overall I was happy with the way it turned out, considering it was my first time with the tools. I am hoping with practice the fondant pearls will turn out better. Practice makes perfect!
